Rafting

In the morning we will meet up 9 km. from Petrohué at the rafting put-in. After distributing equipment and having a safety talk, we will begin our descent of the class III and IV (depending on the month) rapids of the Petrohué River.

The 16 km. ride over crystal clear waters boasts adrenaline-filled rapids and panoramic views of virgin forest, mountains and snow-capped volcanoes. Nearby we can observe the diverse bird species which inhabit the river surroundings, such as the Kingfisher, Pato Correntino, Yeco/Cormoran, among others.

This adventurous paddle will last approximately 1 ½ until we reach the confluence of River Hueño Hueño where we’ll change into dry clothes and enjoy a riverside picnic lunch.
