Everything starts at the expedition center where we will take our kayaks and safety gear and head to Petrohué beach. The adventure begins after a short safety briefing. We’ll paddle to Playa Larga, one of the lake’s most beautiful beaches, noted for its fine black sand. Then we will continue on to small beaches only accessible by water for a refreshing swim. The trip takes us across to the southern shore to enjoy its spectacular views of Osorno Volcano and its surroundings. Finishing the lake crossing we will paddle the emerald waters under the cliffside. Here we can observe bird species characteristic to the park in the thick forest that meets the water. Nearby there are small beaches ideal for a picnic. After a well-deserved box-lunch we will paddle to the source of the Petrohué River and the end of our adventure.
Personal Gear:
Athletic footwear that can get wet, bathing suit, windbreaker, cap, sunglasses and sunblock.
